Away We Go

This amazing friend just put up a perfectly timely post that made me so excited as I was packing for a BIG weekend away. Our lovely friend Laura is getting married this weekend. And I second G when I say she is the most amazing person and I am so so very happy for her and Matt. I cannot say enough good things about Laura. She is absolutely hilarious, she can make you crack up with a single text, she will fist pump with you to Bleeding Love, she will drink with you during the day, and she will call in her mom (Janimal!!) if you ever need a second opinion. Oh and did I forget to mention she will willingly take photos with Mike Tyson with you? Just saying. The three years I lived with her were some of my very favorite. I am so happy for her and Matt. Cheers to happily ever after. 

Oh Memorial Day Weekend. This was the first weekend in a while that Mo and I were actually around. So we decided it should be filled with relaxing, BBQ-ing, friends, and generally being low key. I’d say we accomplished three of the four goals. Saturday night we decided to BBQ with our good friends Jenny and Dean, which resulted in an amazing dinner al fresco, and then Mo and I teaching them how to play drinking Battleship. Sunday was for dinner at Raleigh Times with my ever favorite person Julie and her awesome husband Jason. From there it was on to Foundation for $6 cocktails and plenty of hilarious stories and some quality catching up (we realized we need to start hanging out more than once every two months). Yesterday was all about enjoying the sunshine with the puggle, reading magazines, and BBQing with friends. All in all.. a great first weekend back. 

Happy 5th Birthday Presley Marie!! I cannot believe you are FIVE today!! I remember the day you were born so vividly. You have been the greatest blessing in all of our lives and when you were born I realized how deep love really is, because I never knew I could love someone so very much. Your mom has given me many gifts over the years, but I must say that the best gift of all has been you and your sister Perry. You are growing up so fast and I hope you know that no matter where Uncle Mo and I may live, we are always here for you and we love you more than you will ever know. 

Happy Happy Birthday to my most amazing friend!! Such a fun and exciting week! Getting engaged! Turning 30!! A fun filled week of partys and a weekend filled with sun and the beach. Sounds pretty perfect. Thank you for being the most incredible friend.. I am pretty sure Mo will forever hold over my head that he moved us to NC, so he is therefore responsible (and should get credit) for the fact that I met one of my closest friends out here. I just can’t imagine my life without you! Love you Al!!
